Camping in the Boy Scouts of America has been a long-time tradition and a critical part of the experience. That’s why our camps offer the best programs in the most beautiful locations at an incredible price.

This year, we have put together an amazing camp package. When a troop registers for a week-long summer camp, they’ll get ten nights of camping FREE. You read that right, ten FREE nights of camping. That’s a savings of $250!

Who can purchase the 2020 camp package?

Any Scout troop when they register for 2020 week-long summer camp at one of our select Council camps

What’s included in the 2020 camp package?

The week-long summer camp will be your typical Scout camp with all the awesome adventures like shooting sports, kayaking, and zipping; to name a few. It’ll also include the campsite(s) and optional meal-plan.

In addition, troops will get ten free nights of camping at any of our council camps (upon availability). This makes planning a your monthly overnighters easy AND affordable.

When do the ten free nights apply?

As soon as you register! You don’t have to wait until after summer camp. Register today and start camping tomorrow for free.

Note: Overnighters must be booked and used in 2020. None will roll over into 2021.

When and where are the 2020 summer camp weeks?

Camp Maple Dell is located 11 miles up Payson Canyon and accessible by a paved road. This camp has over 40 campsites that include potable water, fire ring, and a picnic table. Enjoy the majestic mountain scenery by the lake or take-in the breathtaking sunset on one of the two amphitheaters.

One of our newer camps, Camp Tifie is nestled among oaks and pines overlooking Mount Pleasant, Utah. Campers can enjoy Tifie’s heated Olympic-sized swimming pool, shooting ranges, high ropes course, and more.

What does the 2020 camp package cost?

Prices may vary depending on discounts that may apply and optional meal-plan. Below is a basic breakdown of the costs:

With Meal-Plan:

  • $340/youth – starting
  • $330/youth with $10/person discount – paid in full by May 1
  • $320/youth with $10/person discount for group size of 15
  • $310/youth with $20/person discount for group size of 25
  • $160/Adults

Without Meal-Plan:

  • $210/youth base (new option)
  • $200/youth with $10/person discount – paid in full by May 1
  • $160/Adults

How do you book the ten free nights of camping?

It’s easy! Just email help@utahscouts.org with the subject line “Use One of My Free Nights of Camping” following information:

  • Registration # and Group Name
  • Dates of when you’d like to camp (availability not guaranteed)
  • Estimate number of campers
  • Which location you want to camp at: Camp Maple Dell, Camp Tifie, Camp Jeremiah Johnson, Camp Eagle Mountain, Bacon Memorial Park, or Zion Base Camp

A member of our camping team will work with you on booking your overnighter!

Do you have to use all ten nights?

No. However, we highly encourage Scout troops to take advantage of this exclusive camp package. The Camping Merit Badge is a required merit badge to earn Eagle Rank, so why not make it easy and get in ten of those overnighters with the troop?
